Several scattered fires broke out on Tuesday in Meghan’s hometown of Los Angeles, forcing the evacuation of at least 100,000 residents and leading to the deaths of 11 people. Thousands have lost their homes.

With the fires yet to be contained, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are doing what they can to help their neighbors stay safe. Yesterday, the two reportedly opened their home to friends and loved ones who were forced to evacuate

The couple and their children—Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three—live in Montecito, which is about 90 miles north of L.A. While there are no active wildfires near them at the moment, they too may be forced to evacuate and could experience a power shutoff due to the area’s high fire risk, according to the Independent.
